It's always unpleasant to know that there's a thief who's having fun stealing our stuff in the office.
A number of us lost stuff over the Chinese New Year long weekend.
The nerve of him to steal S$10 ang pows and mandarin oranges off the tables. I can't imagine for the life of me why he'd do that. I mean, how could he not think we'd notice?! And mandarin oranges? WTF? He think got gold hidden inside ah?
Never mind that he rummaged through my stuff to steal S$2 worth of coins. (AGAIN. This is happening on an annual basis.)
He actually stole someone's brand new unopened SKII facial treatment essence. And when questions were raised, the still-full bottle with its broken seal and no red box in sight, magically re-appeared hours later at the bottom of a carton next to the office dustbin.
Win lor.
Bah hambug.

I'm really sorry to hear about this. The economic situation must be really bad for someone here to engage in a little wealth redistribution. The victims are also not spared the feelings of violation.
bonovox: what to do? it ain't right to steal. but the effort to pursue this outweighs going by the book or standing by the principles of law. ugh. i suppose we'll never know whodunit. the onus is really on us to keep our stuff under lock and key.
