Why Is It Not Surprising?

(Click here for link to full article online)

A couple of days back, the friends and I were just discussing about how the wires picked this up. In fact, we saw it on Sina.com but it disappeared by the time we sent out the links and returned for a second look.

By today, the entire world knew.

Apparently,

"Chen Qigang, the general music designer of the ceremony, said in an interview with a state broadcaster. "The reason was for the national interest. The child on camera should be flawless in image, internal feelings, and expression," he said."

What the fish. It brings a whole new meaning to the term "poster child".

I hope it's not reflective of how the machinery works in the country.

My girlfriend, who lives in the country, is still smarting over her 2 in 5 chances of buying a fake item in what seemed to be the most reputable retail shops.
