Hot Stuff

The thing about a beachfront work event is, it's very difficult to get creative with the dress code.

As I soaked in the hot hot air of a balmy afternoon, I sighed. These sort of events are really really different from those I do outside of work, after hours.

The venue could be similar, identical even. But it would lack so much color, glitz and razzmatazz. It's on a different scale point of fun, I suppose.

Obviously I grimaced at the hotel's choice of music for the dinner. But the commercial bossa nova pieces were well-suited for the occasion.

At this dinner on sand, one very exciting thing would be to rack the brains to get inspired with fashionable kaftans and linen pants to fit the 'smart-casual' dress code.
