Family

I'm easily impressed by something that isn't the norm.

The ThinkFamily blog is regular. VERY VERY regular.

I roll my eyes at many of the posts. Sappy, some might be. But the thing is, I can't deny that the stories of love, faith and strength are from the heart. It is a great way to ride on the new media platform and share happy moments. And subtly encourage the building of new family units within the institution of marriage.

However, the MCYS Family ad is one of them initiatives that I am intrigued by.

Ads which extoll families need not be your usual supermodel-quality parents and poster children. 2 by 2. (2.3 to be exact, if you know what I mean.)

Lovely to see this one centred around a father and his daughter. Yasmin Ahmad's vision for this ad is absolutely brilliant. Simple and stirring, it tugs at the heartstrings.

Will she now do one of a (single) mother and son?

Oh. If you haven't already watched this ad on tv, here it is.
